Potato Head Bali is gaining global recognition with latest certification for world-class regenerative tourism

Desa Potato’s Bali headquarters recently achieved B-Corp certification, making it one of the crucial environmentally and socially responsible corporations on this planet. As a number one ecotourism destination, Potato Head has been recognized as considered one of the World’s Best Hotels for 2023. With a powerful commitment to waste management, using local food sources and providing excellent service while minimizing environmental impact, Potato Head stands out as a major leader in the sector of sustainable development.

Over the past seven years, Desa Potato Head has successfully reduced waste going to landfill by over 90% and is on a mission to realize zero waste without compromising high standards of hospitality. Through the Sweet Potato Project, they support two synthetic farms in western Bali, providing nutritious food and employment opportunities to local communities which are less affected by the island’s tourism.

In its first 12 months, the farm produced 1,800 kg of food, helping to offer 12,500 meals to neighbors.

In addition to sustainable tourism and hospitality, Potato Head is involved in regenerative activities. For them, regenerative hospitality means inspiring future generations to explore destinations in ways in which enrich each the destination and its guests. This commitment goals to introduce positive change within the hospitality industry, to the good thing about guests, local communities and the environment.

Manish Puri, chief operating officer of Potato Head Bali, said the brand new B Corp status is meant to strengthen the corporate’s commitment to regenerative hospitality. According to him, the B-Corp certification represents Potato Head Bali’s continuous efforts to create enjoyable experiences while contributing to the greater good.

Additionally, Puri emphasized the corporate’s understanding of the responsibility that comes with this achievement and its determination to repeatedly raise the standards of sustainable practices and social responsibility within the hospitality industry.

Recently certified as a B-Corp, Desa Potato Head is the second accommodation facility in Bali after Mana Earthly Paradise in Ubud. Desa Potato Head is a rural boutique hotel situated in Seminyak, amidst the Penestanan and Sayan rice fields, and is an expansive complex of resorts, beach clubs, restaurants, waste laboratories, art and design spaces, spas, wellness areas and music studios.

As the New Year approaches, Desa Potato Head is planning a special evening of live music performed by world-class artists. Before midnight, participants will embark on a musical journey through various genres in the very best nightclubs and hotels on this planet. The party shall be fueled by Palms Trax, Shanti Celeste, Kamma & Masalo and Omoloko. The dance floor shall be enlarged to offer sufficient space for expression.
