The best train journeys with panoramic views in Asia. You should try! (Part 2)

Declines in other forms of travel may be justified by the simple availability and inexpensive prices of air tickets now offered to travelers. However, despite all of the benefits it provides, rail travel appears to be a trend that can proceed indefinitely.

Adventurers of all stripes are drawn to the chance to view untamed wildlife combined with distant settlements and vast landscapes from the comfort of a chosen spot on a roaring metal steed.

Traveling by train is a typical and popular selection with regards to earning miles, whether you are traveling in a contemporary, streamlined version of a centuries-old mode of transportation or a rusty train with a wealthy history behind it. Below is an inventory of the ten hottest tours in Asia.

From Bandung to Yogyakarta, Indonesia

Java is essentially the most beautiful and culturally significant of all of the Indonesian islands. The railways connecting Java’s most important cities are modern, nice and far faster than using the island’s congested roads.

Train travel in Java is very democratic and provides a superb opportunity to interact with locals. While any train trip in Java will help you enjoy a wide range of landscapes, we highly recommend traveling by train between Bandung and Yogyakarta, the cultural center of Java, or Kutoarjo, the doorway to the Dieng Plateau. The train ride from Bandung to Kutoarjo is a component of our Wonders of Sumatra and Java itinerary.

From Bangkok to Kanchanaburi in Thailand

During a brief, three-hour journey, the train from Bangkok to Kanchanaburi takes tourists to a picturesque town with a tragic past. It is kind of near the “Death Railway” which was in-built Kanchanaburi during World War II using the forced labor of Allied prisoners of war. The ghosts of those prisoners still haunt the town today.

This path runs through a part of the Death Railway, which incorporates the famous Bridge over the River Kwai from the 1957 film. Being around such crimes may be terrifying, however it also serves as a timely reminder of the suffering this a part of the globe has experienced and the way far we have now come.
