After recently opening outlets in London and Manhattan, Jollibee Foods Corporation (JFC) is now operating in Malaysia with a Jollibee fast food outlet in Kota Kinabalu, reports the New Straits Times.
JFC, which has grown to over 4,300 stores with 14 brands in 21 countries, enters the Malaysian market today with the opening of its first store within the capital of Sabah, a state in eastern Malaysia.
Corporate CEO Ernesto Tanmantiong said the opening of the primary store in Malaysia was an exciting recent chapter for Jollibee.
“We invite Malaysians to return and see why people queue for hours.
“They are here to enjoy our delicious bestsellers like Chickenjoy, as well as our friendly service,” he said.
Jollibee’s signature dishes include fried chicken, spaghetti and burgers.
Meanwhile, JFC International Business director and president Dennis Flores said Jollibee is loved across Asia and other continents since it appeals to diverse tastes and cultures.
“This has made us the fastest growing Asian restaurant company and we’re grateful for the overwhelming support.
“This motivates us to do better for our customers and continue to serve delicious food with our signature warm service,” he added.
Golden Beeworks Sdn Bhd directors Patrick Chong Fook Seng and Mohd Jamal Salleh and restaurant manager Shahzul Zulkefli were also present on the launch event.
