Thailand has achieved the extraordinary feat of rating eighth on the list of the world’s 50 hottest tourist destinations.

The tourism industry in Southeast Asia has seen remarkable growth in 2023 and early 2024. Thailand led the best way with over 40 million foreign tourists in 2023 and 9.3 million in the primary quarter of 2024, a rise of 44%.
Indonesia got here next with 11.68 million foreign tourists in 2023 (a 98% increase in comparison with 2022) and three million in the primary quarter of 2024. Meanwhile, Malaysia recorded 20.14 million visitors in 2023 and 5.8 million in the primary quarter of 2024, a 32.5% increase.
Interestingly, Thailand became essentially the most visited country despite offering visa-free entry to only 93 countries, while Malaysia offers entry to 134 countries and Indonesia to 169 countries.
