Tuesday’s meeting between Microsoft’s CEO and Indonesia’s president resulted in a commitment to a big $1.7 billion investment. This investment will give attention to the event of artificial intelligence and cloud computing to support artificial intelligence infrastructure in Indonesia.
Satya Nadella met with President Joko Widodo on the Presidential Palace in Jakarta before delivering a speech on artificial intelligence in Indonesia. In his speech, he announced the upcoming construction of a brand new data center in Indonesia to guide the event of the country’s next-generation artificial intelligence infrastructure. Nadella also highlighted Microsoft’s mission to enable people and organizations in Indonesia to make use of more advanced artificial intelligence technologies.
Additionally, Satya Nadella expressed Microsoft’s commitment to supply AI training to 840,000 people in Indonesia, a part of the entire 2.5 million people in ASEAN to be trained by 2025.
