PH cyclists dominate mountain bikes in SEA competitions

On Monday morning, Team Philippines won two more gold medals courtesy of cyclists competing within the downhill mountain bike competition in Laurel, Batangas.

Lea Denise Belgira surged past her rivals and clocked 3:09.781 to win one other gold medal for the Philippines on the thirtieth Southeast Asian Games.

The podium was accomplished by Indonesian Tiara Prastika (3:16.986) and Thailand’s Vipavee Deekaballes (3:17.607).

Meanwhile, the lads’s category was completely dominated, with John Derick Farr and Eleazar Barba Jr. they finished the match for the Philippines with a rating of 1-2.

Farr took gold with a time of two minutes, 41.143 seconds, followed by Barba with a time of two minutes, 42.503 seconds.

Indonesian Andy Prayoga won the bronze medal with a time of two:47.868.

The cyclists’ gold medals took the Philippines’ total medal tally to 24, matching their tally from two years ago in Kuala Lumpur.
