‘See’ the panorama of cities world wide going dark during Earth Hour 2019

Cities world wide went dark, turning off their lights, calling for global motion on climate change.

The lights went out between 8.30pm and 9.30pm as a part of a global event organized by the planetary charity WWF to call for motion to save lots of the planet.

The Sydney Opera House, the Great Pyramids in Egypt, the Eiffel Tower in Paris, the Christ the Redeemer statue in Brazil and the Empire State Building in New York all went out on Saturday.

Organizer World Wide Fund for Nature Singapore estimated that around 15,000 people would attend over 10 days of events and activities, including the fair, with many pledging to scale back their plastic use.

As reported Times of the StraitPeople attending the festival happening on the Marina Bay Sands Event Plaza are encouraged to bring their very own reusable containers and cutlery. Food waste may also be processed into fertilizer.
