Malaysia Airlines was recognized as Indonesia’s leading Asean airline on the recent eighth Indonesia Travel Tourism Awards (ITTA) 2017/18.
With a powerful list of travel brands within the Indonesian travel industry, the airline was amongst 160 nominees in 50 categories.

The award was accepted on behalf of Malaysia Airlines by Regional Director for Southeast Asia, Yuzrizal Mohd Yousuf.
Commenting on the win, Chief Commercial Officer Arved von Zur Muehlen said the airline was deeply honored to receive this distinction from the Indonesian ITTA Foundation.
“We currently operate 49 flights per week to Jakarta, 21 times per week to Denpasar in Bali, 14 times per week to Medan and recently added 7 flights per week to Surabaya.
“With this victory, we are happy to celebrate and reaffirm the strong ties between Malaysia and Indonesia, two countries that share similar culture, cuisine and language,” he added in a press release.

The awards, organized by the ITTA Foundation, recognize outstanding Indonesian tourism and hospitality industry players who meet expectations when it comes to quality and hospitality, while serving as role models for the emerging tourism industry.
Rivals include leading hotel brands, airlines and luxury resorts.
