When rating one of the best international tourist destinations on the earth, it is healthier to take multiple indicator under consideration. A recently published UNWTO report ranked on two key tourism indicators; international tourist arrivals and international tourism receipts.
When defining international tourism receipts, the above numbers and rankings wouldn’t be the identical.
This is because international tourism receipts are defined (by the WTO) because the expenditure of incoming international visitors, including their payments to domestic carriers for international transport. They also include another payments or payments subsequently made for goods and services received within the destination country.
Based on the report, here is the rating of the best international tourism receipts within the Asia-Pacific region in 2016:
