Is it too early to discuss Henry Golding? Next movie?
Sure, Crazy Rich Asians are hugely popular immediately, but do yourself a favor and leave an area in your Google Calendar for the week of September 14 – that is when an Asian actor will make his second Hollywood appearance in two months, Channel NewsAsia reported.
Paul Reig’s “A Simple Favour,” which began filming in Canada around the identical time as last 12 months’s “Crazy Rich Asians,” is a mystery thriller starring Gossip Girl star Blake Lively and Pitch Perfect’s Anna Kendrick.
Anna plays the mother of blogger Stephanie, whose mysterious friend Emily (played by Lively) suddenly disappears. British-Malaysian Golding plays Sean, Emily’s equally curious husband.
A Simple Favor relies on the novel by Darcey Bell.

But what else do you actually learn about this male actor? I’d love to envision this information here:
1. Henry was born on February 5, 1987 in Sri Aman, Malaysia. His father is from England and his mother from the state of Sarawak in eastern Malaysia.
2. With a reputation like Golding, it is simple to think his roots are American. He grew up in London after which moved to Singapore to pursue opportunities.
3. The actor tied the knot with TV presenter Liv Lo in August 2016, after five years together. Judging by their photos on Instagram, Henry and Liv are crazy about one another.
4. Before Crazy Rich Asians, Henry worked as a presenter and travel host on BBC’s The Travel Show. As a baby, he spent most of his time working at a hairdresser within the UK, so yes, he knows how one can cut and magnificence hair. “I started my apprenticeship starting in shampoo – straight through the trenches,” he previously told HuffPost. Henry eventually rose through the ranks and was recognized by Richard Ward Hair and Metrospa in London.

5. In a 2010 interview with The Blisscipline, Henry revealed that college just wasn’t for him. “This format of education and learning did not suit the way my brain worked. I’m more practical,” he explained. “Fortunately, my parents fully supported my choices and basically gave me the freedom to act.”
6. Some may compare him to George Clooney. Clooney has that “Hollywood smile” that draws people to him.
Good luck, Henryk! Keep shining and keep making us proud together with your best acting scenes!
