Shopee opens latest headquarters in Singapore to spice up growth in Southeast Asia

Shopee opened its latest regional headquarters on Tuesday (September 3) because it capitalizes on strong growth in Southeast Asia.

The six-story, 244,000-square-foot constructing at Kent Ridge is sort of six times larger than his previous office across the road. It can accommodate as much as 3,000 employees.

Shopee has seen “tremendous” growth since its founding 4 years ago, Deputy Prime Minister Heng Swee Keat said on the opening ceremony, as quoted by Asia News Channel.

The site also led in total time spent within the app and was probably the most downloaded shopping app within the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

According to the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance of Singapore Heng Swee Keat, the parent company of Shopee Sea was considered one of two decacorns – private firms price no less than $10 billion – that got here from the country.
