The favorites were chosen by an algorithm that evaluates the standard and quantity of reviews and rankings of hotels, restaurants and attractions posted by users during the last 12 months. It also takes into consideration travelers’ interest in bookings.

European cities performed well on the list of hottest destinations amongst travelers, with six of them making it to the highest ten. After London, it was time for Paris, which is calming down the town’s tourism sector after the wave of terrorist attacks in 2015, after which Rome. Crete was sixth on the list of favourites, followed by Barcelona and Prague in ninth place.
