Asgardia is to be the primary international space state that can soon start construction. It has attracted the fascination of Indonesians excited by enlisting as residents. This Argadia was initiated by Dr. Igor Ashurbeyli. According to Igor, the primary space state – a world, unifying and humanitarian project. The project concept consists of three parts – philosophical, legal and scientific-technological.
In ancient Norse mythology, Asgard was a city within the sky, a land of gods. It is the success of man’s everlasting dream of leaving his cradle on Earth and expanding into the Universe.
The philosophical framework of Asgardia goals to “digitize” the noosphere, to create a mirror of humanity in space, but without the earthly division into states, religions and nations. In Asgardia, everyone seems to be simply an Earthling!
Asgardia, officially often known as the Space Kingdom of Asgardia, is a nation-state proposal announced on October 12, 2016 by Igor Ashurbeyli, founding father of the Aerospace International Research Center and Chairman of UNESCO’s Space Science Committee. The proposed nation intends to realize access to outer space without the control of existing nations and be recognized as a nation-state.

The ultimate goal of the project is to create a brand new nation that can allow access to space without the control of existing nations. The current framework for space law, the Outer Space Treaty, requires governments to authorize and supervise all space activities, including those of non-governmental entities reminiscent of industrial and non-profit organizations; by attempting to create a nation, those behind Asgardia hope to avoid the strict restrictions that the present system imposes.

People were invited to register for citizenship, after which Asgardia was to use to the United Nations for recognition as a nation state. In lower than 2 days, over 100,000 applications were submitted; inside 3 weeks, there have been 500,000. After stricter verification requirements were introduced, that number dropped, and in June 2017 it was around 210,000. There isn’t any intention of truly moving these members into space. Asgardia intends to use for UN membership in 2018.
Here’s the whole lot it is advisable to find out about Asgardia:
- As of July 3, 2017, over 250,000 people have registered to be a part of Asgardia
- More than 55,000 people have obtained citizenship through the adoption of the Constitution
- Almost 7,000 people have uploaded their files to the Asgardia-1 satellite, and 4,242 persons are participating within the leadership election
- With almost 250,000 people registered in Asgardia, the nation-state’s population has jumped to 183rd place among the many world’s countries
- Asgardia’s population recently surpassed that of Mayotte, Samoa and Saint Lucia
- According to Asgardia, the essential countries of origin are Turkey, China, the United States, Brazil and Italy, respectively.
- Nearly 60,000 people have already ratified the Constitution, which allows them to upload a file to Asgardia-1 and send it into space, where it can remain ceaselessly
- The Asgardia-1 satellite has been safely delivered to Nanoracks, a Webster, Texas-based company that supplies industrial equipment and services to the U.S. National Laboratory aboard the International Space Station.
- It is currently safely stored under five locks in a facility with CCTV and a monitored alarm system.
- Tests required by NASA to make sure satellite safety were carried out
- Asgardia’s batteries and power systems tested; aircraft passed vibration test that simulates vibrations experienced during takeoff
- It also passed a vacuum chamber test that ensures the satellite will survive the vacuum of space.

By the tip of July 2017, in accordance with engreater than 13,000 Indonesians have registered as residents of Asgardia, making it the fourth largest country of origin after Turkey, China, and the United States. The total variety of Asgardian residents has reportedly exceeded half one million.
Questions still swirl about why so many Indonesians are enlisting on this utopian space station. According to Lealdo Ayubi Raditchu, a student from Banten, Indonesia, quoted by Java mailenlisted to grow to be an Asgardian citizen for several reasons. “I know very well that we need many more decades before a space colony becomes a reality. I really like the idea, the founder’s vision,” he said. “I have no idea what life is like in a space colony. I only know that the concept of Asgardia was well-founded, for world peace. There is nothing more virtuous than that,” he added.

Asgardia intends to launch a series of satellites into orbit and has announced that the primary of them can be delivered into space by Orbital ATK in September 2017 as a part of an International Space Station resupply mission. It can be a 10x10x20 cm, 2.8 kg CubeSat that can be manufactured and placed into orbit by NanoRacks and has been named Asgardia-1.
The nanosatellite can be a file storage device that can be preloaded with, amongst other things, family photos provided by the primary 1,500,000 members; further data can be uploaded or downloaded using the Globalstar satellite network.
