Malaysia has been recognized because the safest and most peaceful destination in Asia Travel + recreation magazine, a distinction intended to spice up domestic tourism and attract more tourists from abroad. The recognition is predicated on the Holiday Relaxation Report prepared by the Wellness Retreats Book Retreats platform.
The report ranked 76 destinations based on nine indicators, including protected areas, forest cover, population density, noise and lightweight pollution and well-being. With scores starting from 1 to 100 for every indicator, Malaysia was ranked first in Asia for safety, peace and quiet. It’s no wonder that this country is a really perfect selection for people on the lookout for a break from on a regular basis stress.
Globally, Malaysia ranks twentieth for tranquility, open spaces and wellness activities. It also secured the eighth place as one among the safest holiday destinations, as evidenced by its high scores on the Global Peace Index.

As reported by the New Straits Times, Datuk Mohd Salleh Saidin, chairman of the Kedah Tourism Commission, welcomed the popularity as a major boost for the Visit Kedah 2025 (VK2025) campaign.
Kedah, especially Langkawi, stays a top tourist destination with world-class facilities including a global airport.
Salleh highlighted the continued preparations for VK2025, which goals to draw more tourists by shifting the main focus to mainland Kedah, while Langkawi continues to shine because the region’s flagship attraction.

The island of Langkawi, a part of Kedah, is a tropical paradise with pristine white sandy beaches, lush rainforests and crystal clear waters. Apart from having fun with the stunning beaches, visitors can explore Langkawi Legend Park, ride the Langkawi Sky Cable Car or visit the magical Teow Soon Tong Cave. For nature lovers, Kedah also offers Gunung Jerai, which offers stunning views and various mountain climbing trails.
