All these vehicles, which could be charged to 80 percent in only 34 minutes, were deployed on the Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) Stadium in Senayan because the foremost venue for the forty third ASEAN Summit in 2023.
Additionally, 74 units of IONIQ 6 and 272 units of Hyundai IONIQ 5 were loaned by HMID for the forty third ASEAN Summit in 2023. The handover took place on August 11, 2023, in the course of the 2023 Gaikindo Indonesia International Motor Show in Tangerang, Banten. In turn, WMI rented 150 Wuling AirEv electric cars as operational vehicles. According to Brian Gomgom, public relations manager of Wuling Motors, all units of Wuling’s first electric automotive in Indonesia have pure white color and special design.
The right and left doors bear the official logo of the forty third ASEAN Summit 2023 combined with Betawi batik motifs consisting of images of bondol and jasmine eagles with a predominance of orange and dark purple colours decorating the side of the automotive. There can be a red and white flag on the front hood. Gomgom explained that the patterned design was inspired by batik as one in all the cultural products of the Betawi people, an ethnic group indigenous to Jakarta.
