In the north -eastern Thailand within the province of Bueng Kan is some of the unusual wonders of nature. The locals call it Hin Sam Wanwhich implies Three Rock Whale.
According to its name, this rock formation looks like a whale family floating next to one another in the course of the ocean – excluding here, the “Ocean” is an infinite sea of lush green forest.
Unique shape from prehistoric times
Three whales usually are not an unusual stone. It is estimated that he’s 75 million years old, arose because of this of tens of millions of years of abrasion, rain, wind and changing tectonic plates. To reach the highest of the Three Whale Rock, guests can select from nine different tourist routes. Each of them offers a novel adventure – no matter whether small waterfalls pass, trekking through the tropical forests or freely seeing wandering wild nature.
At the highest, the view is breathtaking. From the “back” of those stone whales you’ll be able to glance through the powerful Mekong River, distant mountains within the Pakkading district in Laos and the vast cover of the PHU Wua forest.
