Koh Tao, sometimes called “Turtle Island”, is a small island off the coast of Surat Thani that was once home to turtles (hence the name). Due to its quite a few rainbow reefs and top-class diving training facilities, this little piece of heaven is a serious tourist destination.
KO PHI PHI, THAILAND
You feel ecstatic as you admire the attractive limestone formations jutting out from the blue waters of Ko Phi Phi. The tsunami that hit Thailand in 2004 completely destroyed this tropical paradise, although as they are saying: “The rebound is all the time greater than the failure.”
