Edhy Prabowo, Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries, has apologized to President Joko Widodo and Prabowo Subianto, General Chairman of the Gerindra Party, after being called a suspected KPK.

Prabowo, a former rival of Widodo’s party, is vice-chairman of the Indonesian Grand Movement Party, or Gerindra. In November 2019, he joined the cupboard as a part of an alliance formed after Widodo’s election to a second term alongside party leader and Widodo’s former rival within the 2019 presidential election Prabowo Subianto, currently serving as Minister of Defense.
