The preliminary autopsy report showed that the explanation for the lady’s death was knife wounds and head injuries, reported the Spanish each day La Verdad de Murcia.
Her suspected killer, Mitchell Ong, was arrested in Alicante on April 16. He appeared in court last Friday.
On Tuesday, La Verdad each day reported that detectives had seized limited edition Nike shoes price 935 euros ($1,000) that were present in Ong’s hotel room while he was arrested in Alicante. Cash amounting to €3,760 and A$1,000 was also present in the room and confiscated.
According to the newspaper, the soles of the shoes match the traces found on the crime scene. The Spanish Civil Guard has since sent a sample of the soil embedded within the soles for laboratory evaluation to find out whether it matches the soil found on Fang’s body.
They are also trying to check this sample with sandstone present in the Abanilla area.

The shoes are of particular importance to the police resulting from their exclusivity – they might be purchased on the Farfetch online store for €935 and are available in a European size of 48.5. This size corresponds to Ong’s construct and height of 1.88 m.
Court documents obtained by La Verdad also detail other evidence against Ong.
The Cieza Magistrate’s Court judge overseeing the case noted what the suspect was wearing on the evening of April 9, when Fang was last seen, and when he returned several hours later.
CCTV cameras on the hotel where Ong was staying captured the 43-year-old leaving at around 5.45pm wearing a hoodie and black trousers.
He returned to the hotel within the early morning hours of April 10 at roughly 2:06 a.m., wearing jeans and a blue sweater.

Ong, who married in 2012 and owned several firms in Singapore, was scheduled to fulfill his Ukrainian girlfriend at the identical hotel the subsequent day, La Verdad reports.
According to local newspaper Levante El Mercantil Valenciano, Spanish police proved that Fang and Ong’s cell phones were together in Abanilla on the day of her death.
She added that she had not experienced sexual violence and that that they had known one another for a few years.
The judge said it was “definitely” that the 2 Singaporeans were inferred to be in the identical area and inside the same timeframe on the day the offense was committed, based on data provided by mobile operators in Abanilla.
Ong is currently in custody pending investigation and can remain in prison resulting from the seriousness of the crime. He can also be considered to pose a flight risk.
The judge noted that Ong is a Singaporean with no roots in Spain and has “sufficient economic capability” to go away the country.

Both the prosecutor’s office and a Spanish lawyer employed by Fang’s family, Manuel Martínez, sought an extension of Ong’s pre-trial detention.
A report by Levante El Mercantil Valenciano indicated that the killing could have had an “economic motive,” adding that Fang was reported to have transferred the cash to an unidentified third party.
Sources also told La Verdad in regards to the “economic motive”, confirming the report by Levante El Mercantil Valenciano, while adding that she participated in a sort of investment fund.
However, it can’t be ruled out that the murder was committed for sentimental reasons.
