A Filipino inventor breaks the record for the furthest skateboard flight

Electric flying automobile innovator Kyxz Mendiola has achieved one other milestone by breaking an existing Guinness World Record.

Mendiola flew the furthest on his skateboard, reaching an altitude of two,894 meters on Saturday, July 10, on the beach of Subic Bay in Zambales.

Mendiola is currently working on the country’s first electric flying automobile, often called an electrical manned aerial vehicle (EMAV).

With his latest feat, the Filipino inventor broke the record of two,252 meters set by French jet skier Franky Zapata, which he achieved aboard a jet-engine-powered Flyboard Air in April 2016 off the coast of Sausset-les-Pins in southern France.

Mendiola used an electrical hoverboard (e-Hoverboard) from Star 8 Green Technology Corp. (Star 8) to interrupt the record.

Here’s a video of Mendiola’s record-breaking achievement.
