Finally, Taco Bell lands in Indonesia, Malaysia

American fast food chain Taco Bell has finally opened in Indonesia and can soon open in Cyberjaya, Malaysia. Opened in December 2020, Taco Bell, positioned within the Senopati area within the southern district of the Indonesian capital, is the brand’s first flagship within the Asia-Pacific region.

“Indonesia’s strong culinary culture, adventurous spirit and appetite for trying new things make it an ideal market for Taco Bell,” said Ankush Tuli, CEO of Taco Bell, Asia Pacific. Jakarta Post.

One of the dishes created especially for the Indonesian palate is Bell Rice, which mixes seasoned Mexican rice with grilled chicken, spicy sambal korek (a delicacy of garlic chili and bird’s eye chili), pico de gallo salsa and fresh lettuce, in addition to Nacho chips for extra crunch.

Disruptive Concepts Restaurant Group will launch the brand in Malaysia, but the corporate is yet to disclose the precise opening date.

“We are thrilled to finally bring our world-famous crunchy tacos to our Malaysian fans and can’t wait to start this journey with our incredible partners at Disruptive Concepts Restaurant Group,” Taco Bell wrote on its website. The famous American fast food joint will open its first outlet in Malaysia at Cottage Walk, Cyberjaya and Tropicana Gardens Mall, Petaling Jaya, in keeping with its website

Taco Bell plans to double its international footprint, with Asian markets being the most important driver of growth abroad as awareness of Mexican cuisine grows.
