Total airline capability (domestic and international) in Southeast Asia – May 2023

  2. Singapore’s international capability increased by 6%, or 159,437 seats.
  3. Kuala Lumpur’s international capability increased by 8% or 127,011 seats.
  4. Bangkok Don Mueang recorded an 18% increase in international capability, adding 95,000 seats.

  1. Lion Air continues to be the biggest carrier in Southeast Asia by seats, with capability increasing by 15% in comparison with May 2019.
  2. Five of the highest 10 airlines currently operate the identical variety of seats as in April 2019: Lion Air, Vietnam Airlines, Vietjet, Batik Air and Singapore Airlines.
