You can sleep next to elephants within the jungle bubbles of Thailand

The suites, aptly named Jungle Bubbles, span 22 square meters with a transparent roof, a king-size bed, a living area, an opaque bathroom, a minibar and lunch basket, and 24-hour room service. And did I mention you’ve pachyderms on your roommates? Jungle Bubbles are placed on a picket platform, offering intimate views of the gentle giants living within the wild.

According to Etienne De Villiers, director of public relations for the Anantara cluster, the Walking With Giants tour also allows guests to develop a deeper reference to the elephants. He told Apartment Therapy:

“Promoting the natural joy of free movement every day in the company of mahouts and a veterinarian or biologist, this activity provides insight into the views of scientific experts on how these intelligent creatures think and behave.”

He added: “…guests can observe elephants socially interacting in their natural habitat. Playing in a river or mud bath shows just how cheeky these graceful animals can be.”

It’s also reassuring to know that, unlike more controversial attractions in Thailand, that is wildlife tourism that does not force elephants to do anything they don’t need.
