Designs for the primary VinFast production cars revealed!

Vietnamese automobile manufacturer Vinfast has presented the primary cars produced in Italy, which can debut on October 2 on the Paris Motor Show.

It said the sedan and SUV represented “the powerful, progressive spirit of a brand new, energetic and developing Vietnam.”

VinFast is a component of the Vietnamese conglomerate Vingroup, headed by James DeLuca, former vp of producing for General Motors.

The SUV is analogous in size to the BMW X5. The more muscular hood and daring character lines give it a sportier feel, Vinfast said in a Sept. 10 statement.

The sedan is identical length as cars equivalent to the BMW 5 Series. It has a protracted hood, a classic trunk and horizontal body lines.

Vinfast models have a visual V element on the front. The horizontal chrome rail combines with the LED daytime running lights to create an italicized F motif, representing the second syllable of the word VinFast.

The V logo on the grille refers to Vietnam, in addition to the Vingroup and VinFast brands, Vinfast design chief David Lyon said in an announcement.

Both cars were designed by the Italian company Pininfarina.

Vinfast is using the Paris show to lift its global image. It is claimed to be the primary Vietnamese carmaker to take part in a serious international auto exhibition.

The automaker plans to launch the sedan and SUV within the third quarter of 2019. Ultimately, the corporate plans to supply 500,000 vehicles by 2025, with initial production starting from 100,000 to 200,000 units. It also plans to export to foreign markets.
