Cambodia allows tourists from China to pay in renminbi

Cambodia has announced that Chinese tourists will now have the opportunity to pay in Chinese currency for all tourism services offered across the country to cater to the growing variety of Chinese tourists visiting the country.

Until recently, all foreign visitors to the country had the choice of paying in either US dollars or Cambodian riel.

By eliminating the necessity for currency conversion and avoiding additional taxes, adopting the Chinese yuan is predicted to make it easier for Chinese tourists to spend money in Cambodia. This would also help small businesses in Cambodia by making it easier for them to just accept payments, which can help them grow.

Cambodia is working hard to extend the variety of Chinese visitors it welcomes. One of the country’s essential tourism markets is China, which has seen a pointy increase within the variety of Chinese tourists visiting Cambodia lately.

The Cambodian government has introduced several programs aimed toward improving the traveler experience and making it easier for tourists to spend money within the country.

Accepting Chinese money is predicted to extend the variety of Chinese visitors to Cambodia, in addition to promote trade and deepen bilateral ties.
