According to a survey of 80 countries, Japan and Australia are the one Asia-Pacific countries which are among the many top ten best countries on the planet.
Countries are ranked on aspects that measure entrepreneurship, openness to business, adventure, citizenship and overall quality of life. The rankings evaluate 80 countries in 24 rankings based on a survey of greater than 21,000 global residents measuring 75 dimensions which have the potential to drive trade, travel and investment.
Japan is the most effective country in Asia and fifth on the planet.
Australia can be among the many top ten countries on the planet. It ranks seventh on the planet and second in Asia. It scored well on indicators reminiscent of entrepreneurship, openness to business and cultural influences.
Singapore, a bustling metropolis, ranks sixteenth on the planet and third in Asia. The country has a high GDP and a low unemployment rate. However, the growing population has raised concerns about income equality and the rising cost of living.
China, the world’s second largest economy after the US, ranks twentieth on the planet and is the fourth best country to live in Asia. Although the country has a thriving economy, there are concerns reminiscent of the numerous level of rising pollution levels within the country which is affecting the standard of life.
South Korea ranks twenty second on the planet and is the fifth best country in Asia. The country has experienced regular growth and has significantly reduced poverty. It is the world’s seventh-largest exporter and eleventh-largest economy overall.
India ranks twenty fifth on the planet and is the sixth best country in Asia. In second place is Thailand, which ranks twenty seventh on the planet and seventh in Asia.
Malaysia ranks thirty fourth on the planet and is the eighth best country in Asia. The country “has come a good distance toward reducing poverty, increasing the proportion of households living below the poverty line from greater than 50 percent within the Sixties to lower than 1 percent in 2015.” Malaysia is followed by Indonesia (41), Vietnam (44) and the Philippines (49).
Sri Lanka is ranked 51st on the planet and is the twelfth best country within the region. Health and literacy standards are high within the country, although poverty stays an issue. This is followed by Burma (63) and Pakistan (74).
