OpenSignal’s latest global “State of LTE” report, published in February this yr, collected and analyzed 50 billion measurements within the fourth quarter to check 4G performance across 88 countries.
A report by UK wireless coverage mapping specialists used these measurements to check 4G network speeds and availability, rating them first in each relevant category after which comparing speeds with availability in each state.
In this edition of the report, though greater than 88 countries currently have LTE services, OpenSignal included countries for which it had enough data to perform a meaningful evaluation.
In the case of this particular report 58,752,909,949 points were collected from 4,852,320 users within the period in between October, 1street until December 29vol2017.
From the report, Seasia extracts data for Southeast Asian countries and you will discover the rankings here, last rated in February 2018.
Note: Laos shouldn’t be classified.

Other points highlighted in the newest reports include the next details:
# The fastest do not get faster
The fastest LTE speeds appear to have plateaued at around 45Mbps. We have not seen any significant increase in 4G speeds amongst top-performing countries in the previous couple of global reports, and the Holy Grail of fiftyMbps stays equally elusive.
#5 countries currently have 4G availability greater than 90%
While top speeds may remain stagnant, 4G availability in elite countries continues to grow steadily. Consumers in five countries had access to an LTE connection greater than 90% of the time – in comparison with just two countries just three months ago.
# The industry is specializing in increasing LTE coverage
It has turn into quite clear that the worldwide mobile industry is now focused on expanding access to LTE signals to more people and places, moderately than increasing 4G network speeds alone. In our latest results, we’ve seen significant increases in LTE availability across the board.
# Europe and North America get a speed boost
While 4G network speeds stagnated in many of the world, there have been a number of regional exceptions. We have seen significant speed increases in lots of European countries, especially the Netherlands and Spain. In North America, speeds in Canada topped 30Mbps due to Telus’ recent LTE upgrades, while the U.S. regained momentum lost with AT&T and Verizon’s re-introduction of unlimited plans.
