Gaming peripherals maker Razer announced on Tuesday (November 21) that it’s launching its first smartphone – Razer phone – to Singapore, making it the primary Asian market to supply this phone.
When is Razer Phone was announced for the primary timeavailability was limited to Western countries, specifically the United States, Canada, Great Britain, Ireland, Germany, France, Denmark and Sweden.
“Even though we founded Razer in California, USA, I’m still a Singaporean and I’m very excited to make Singapore the primary country in Asia to launch the Razer Phone,” co-founder and CEO Min-Liang Tan said in an announcement, as reported Technology in Asia.
In their official announcementRazer described the Razer Phone as “the final word in mobile entertainment.”
Razer prides itself on selling products made “for gamers, by gamers” and believes the above combination of desirable internal components will offset the Razer Phone’s subdued appearance, large speaker bezels, and lack of Jacek headphones.
Asia News Channel reports that the smartphone will retail for S$1,068 and not using a contract, and an organization spokesperson said that customers who pre-order the device can expect to receive the smartphone “in early December”
In addition to the phone’s launch earlier this month, the corporate has also prepared favorable debut on the Hong Kong stock exchange.
On his open dayRazer’s share price was HKD 4.58 per share, 18% higher than the IPO price of HKD 3.88.
