Leading airlines from world wide gathered in Boston tonight to announce the industry’s most anticipated recognition, Official Airline Ratings™, the primary airline rating program based solely on the opinions of certified passengers.
APEX (Airline Passenger Experience Association), the one not-for-profit industry association dedicated to improving the airline passenger experience, announced which airlines have been honored with four- and five-star official airline rankings.
The Official APEX 2019™ Airline Ratings distinguishes airlines in three categories:
• Global airlines
• Major regional:
• Low-cost carriers
The official APEX™ airline rankings are based on passenger feedback collected through APEX’s partnership with TripIt® with Concur®, the world’s highest-rated travel app. Passengers rated over one million flights from almost 500 airlines from world wide on a five-star scale between July 1, 2017 and June 30, 2018.
First, passengers rated their overall flight experience from one to 5 stars. On the identical screen, passengers had the chance to depart anonymous rankings in five subcategories: seat comfort, cabin service, food and beverages, entertainment and Wi-Fi. The single-screen rating allows airline passengers to simply rate their flight in lower than 15 seconds.
The APEX Official Airline Ratings™ have been independently certified by knowledgeable third-party auditing firm and used to determine the Official Airline Ratings™ in addition to the APEX Passenger Choice Awards.
