The 10 best top quality airlines on the planet

Which airline is the world’s best for long-haul top quality? In fact, many airlines are ditching most top quality cabins and as a substitute upping the ante within the business class world.

Airlines that also offer top quality products offer them totally on their most “profitable” high-traffic business routes. These routes include New York to London, London to Singapore, Frankfurt to New York, London to Dubai, London to Abu Dhabi and so forth.

On these routes, people and corporations are willing to pay for all of the extras that include this improved product. Regardless of which airline you fly, your flying experience on First shall be excellent, and if you may have enough perks to experience life on First, you shall be disillusioned.

The luxury travel expert has described the differentiators below and chosen the very best first-class airlines on the planet.

We hope that is an important guide in case you are lucky enough to afford air travel with First.

SINGAPORE AIRLINES

Nikkei Asian Review

If you are seeking to experience a premium First Class experience today, Singapore Airlines’ latest A380 First Class Suites are probably the very best method to enjoy the final word luxury experience when flying in First Class (pictured above). Their first cabin has 6 upper deck suites, in comparison with 12 lower deck suites on the carrier’s old A380 A380.

Each suite comes with a separate fully flat (somewhat firm) bed with adjustable backrest and a luxurious leather chair that swivels. The bed will be made or stored in a secure place, and for couples traveling together, the beds in the primary two suites will be converted right into a double bed in each aisle.

Each suite can be equipped with a 32-inch Full HD monitor, a full-size personal wardrobe, a specially designed carpet and an ornamental wall with mood lighting, all exquisitely crafted to offer a touch of luxury and intimacy.

EMIRATES

Emirates is the king of top quality and among the best on the planet, although its business class is second to none. The most impressive First Class product is found on the brand new Boeing 777 aircraft, featuring floor-to-ceiling sliding doors and stylish design elements inspired by the Mercedes-Benz S-Class

The leather seat reclines into a totally flat bed and will be adjusted to a NASA-inspired “zero gravity” position, giving a sense of rest and weightlessness. To ensure all First Class passengers have a transparent view, Emirates has introduced the industry’s first virtual windows for its mid-aisle suites. These virtual windows display the view from outside the aircraft using real-time camera technology. The apartments even have a service window where customers can freely serve drinks and sandwiches.

ETIHAD

Etihad calls its top quality suite on the A380 a collection, and it definitely is! Launched in 2014, this compact suite has since set the usual for other airlines.

The first suites on board the small Airbus A380 fleet feature a big leather seat and a separate 208 cm (6 ft 10 in) wide bed. With the privacy doors closed, there may be room to walk around. Six First apartments are connected to one another, which is ideal in case you are traveling with a companion. Before landing, passengers can clean up in the toilet with an energizing shower, benefiting from exclusive amenities.

JAPANESE AIRLINES

JAL offers world-leading First Class. The airline also offers such lovable bento box-style food and such attentive service on its flights that it needs to be in our top ten. The semi-enclosed suite on board the Japanese Airlines Boeing 777-300ER has a wood-grain interior, creating the impression of a house library with elegantly arranged furniture.

In your compartment you will find a storage compartment, an in-flight entertainment controller, a laptop power adapter and a 23-inch personal entertainment screen. Passengers rest comfortably on air-weave bedding, which allows them to fall right into a perfect sleep. Definitely probably the most elegant of its kind, the Japan Airlines First Class dining room sets a high standard with an attractive menu of Western and Japanese cuisine.

LUFThansa

We are big fans of Lufthansa. Not only is their product excellent, but we LOVE the Luftansa First Class Terminal at Frankfurt Airport.

Most Lufthansa long-haul aircraft are equipped with 8 First Class seats. When you must sit back and chill out, the best comfort shall be provided by the independently adjustable backrest and footrest of the chair and a movable ottoman. At the stewardess’ request, we are going to transform the seat into a brilliant comfortable bed with a mattress pad and a temperature-regulating duvet.

Although newer and more visually striking First Class products at the moment are available, Lufthansa First Class stays probably the most sought-after experiences within the skies, largely resulting from its impeccable service, delicious food, incredibly comfortable beds, and unique First Class lounges (when traveling through hubs in Frankfurt and Munich).

SWISS AIRLINES

Swiss Airlines offers fully enclosed top quality suites situated within the nose of its Boeing 777-300ER and Airbus A330 aircraft. This is a superb First Class, comparable to the Lufthansa First Class equivalent. We think Swiss is the very best airline flying to Europe on First. Each suite exudes a warm ‘color and material’ palette of browns, grays and European oak accents, while soft partitions, fabric partitions and curtains help to dampen cabin noise.

Passengers can use electric-mechanical window blinds in all three windows of their apartment at the identical time. Each passenger has a private wardrobe and sliding doors that create a partition between the seat and the aisle, providing greater privacy. Onboard entertainment is great on the 32-inch video screen.

If you depart from Zurich Airport before your flight, you’ll have access to the wonderful Swiss First Lounge E at Zurich Airport, which is a superb lounge with a natural experience, plenty of wood and a soothing atmosphere. The lounge has recently opened and has a formidable dining area offering a la carte (slightly than buffet) dishes that are excellent and delivered quickly.

QATAR AIRLINES

Qatar Airways should really rank higher in the highest ten best flights. Certainly, the First Class cabin in Qatar Airways’ fleet of 10 A380 aircraft incorporates a wonderful top quality product with extra wide seats product of the softest material.

Center and aisle partitions provide more privacy and will be raised or lowered to offer an additional spacious feeling when traveling with a companion. It’s a versatile space: the seat routinely reclines into a totally flat bed, and the table will be folded out so two people can dine in style. First class passengers can even receive pajamas, flight slippers and amenities from Italy’s Castello Monte Vibiano Vecchio, meaning Qatar Airways should probably take the third or 4th position.

Unfortunately, the Luxury Travel Diary team didn’t experience thoughtful service on flights to Qatar. From bumping into our legs in business class to loud conversations throughout the night while passengers were attempting to sleep. So while Qatar wins with a troublesome product and the amazing Qatar First Class Lounge at Doha Airport, the thoughtlessness of the flight attendants on board is unlike lots of our other in-flight experiences.

CATHAY PACIFIC

Cathay Pacific offers a solid first-class product, which we have now tested on their Boeing 777 and Boeing 747 aircraft.

They recently renovated the top quality lounge at Hong Kong International Airport. On board, the brand new suites feature dark, high-gloss surfaces, while inside, the side console and seat interiors are upholstered in natural leather with subtle linings and stitching, giving them a clean, refined and refined look. Natural leather in a warm shade is usually used on most interior surfaces of the apartment, providing an impression of softness and luxury. The seat easily turns into a totally flat bed, and the bedding is accompanied by high-quality fabrics for duvets, pillows, cushions and a mattress that may ensure a snug sleep.

BRITISH AIRWAYS

Although I complain about British Airways, and although their business class is slightly poor, their top quality is great. OK, you haven’t got your individual apartment, a chef on board and you may’t shower within the air, but we love the classic British style, great service and the pilots (their humor and repair). We appreciate that the pilot informs us about turbulence etc. Of course, you too can book First with Avios sometimes, which makes it even higher (although the extra taxes and charges will be prohibitive).

We also just like the architecturally groundbreaking Terminal 5 at Heathrow Airport and the power to get to Pod Park and drive as much as the terminal, then take the Wing on to the Concorde Room after which go to your seat within the air. British Airways is not the very best on the planet, but their top quality products are great, they’ve beautiful toiletries and a lot better seats than Club World offers. AMERICAN AIRLINES

I flew top quality on American Airlines’ largest wide-body aircraft, the Boeing 777-300ER or B77W, which is their flagship top quality cabin. AA owns 27 such planes. While AA’s B77W is considered one of the world’s best long-haul business class products (and is the airline’s and business’s top selection for transatlantic travel), I used to be less impressed with American Airlines’ top quality product.

The difference between First Class and the wonderful AA Business Class may be very small. Yes, there may be more room within the apartment, the seat will be become a desk, it is feasible to make the bed (with a duvet and an additional pillow), and also you get an extra dish (soup) together with your meal. But I actually couldn’t find every other differences. This doesn’t apply to all airlines. For example, I am unable to sleep on the skinny and uncomfortable British Airways business class seats, but I sleep like a baby within the top quality cabin.
