AirAsia has been recognized because the world’s best low-cost airline for the tenth yr in a row.
AirAsia received recognition on the Skytrax World Airline Awards 2018 held at The Langham in London today.
The Skytrax Awards, referred to as the “Oscars of the airline industry”, are the worldwide benchmark for airline excellence. The survey surveyed greater than 20.36 million global customers from greater than 105 nationalities, measuring standards across 49 key performance indicators of the airline’s most vital services and products.

“I’m honored to have fun our record tenth victory today with our Allstars who’ve been with us on this journey from the very starting. This moment seems surreal.
“I remember the ecstatic feeling after I was first awarded the title of best low-cost airline on the earth 10 years ago. I never would have imagined that we might remain the perfect on the earth for a decade,” he said in a press release.
AirAsia X was also named the world’s best premium low-cost airline cabin for the sixth time in a row.

“Every success and achievement of AirAsia Group and Asia X Group is the direct contribution and added value of each Allstar. It is therefore important that the level of competency, efficiency and performance is continuously improved and modernized so that companies can maintain their global status in the highly competitive regional and global aviation industry,” Rafidah said.
AirAsia also won the Best Low-Cost Airline in Asia award from Deputy Group General Manager (Air Business) Bo Lingam, who joined AirAsia in 2001 as Ground Operations Manager.
The victory was celebrated group-wide at AirAsia’s offices in Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, Jakarta, Manila, Bangalore and Nagoya with a special interactive live program streamed on AirAsia’s Facebook page.
