According to a listing published by Fortune magazine on its website on May 5, Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad was named one in all the world’s 50 biggest leaders, in line with the New Straits Times.
Dr Mahathir, who’s now 93 and the world’s oldest leader, was ranked forty seventh on the list of “leaders who use their power and influence to make the world a greater place.”
“In business, government, philanthropy and the arts, and around the world, these men and women are changing the world and inspiring others to do the same,” the magazine wrote.

“Mahathir and his party are now seeking to protect judicial independence and press freedom, recognizing that they help preserve the integrity of democracy,” he added.
