The world’s most amazing photos taken by a drone

SkyPixel, an aerial photo and video sharing platform, reviewed greater than 44,000 entries from 141 countries to pick out the winners.

A panel of skilled photographers, filmmakers and artistic directors from the likes of TIME and the International Center of Photography helped evaluate entries from professionals and amateur enthusiasts alike.

Winners were chosen in multiple categories, including the highest prize for Photo of the Year, in addition to Best Landscape, Portrait and Story Photos.

Surprisingly, only a number of places within the region brought good luck to the winners, and for few of us it was a rare sight.

Thank you for capturing the attractive view of this region, winners!

Comet Into Darkness. “I used to be walking along the East Coast Trail early one morning in Newfoundland once I heard a flock of seagulls. I quickly launched the drone to search out out what was responsible for the chaos. It was a small cod fishing boat heading towards the port, a really magical moment,” said user Drone Hikers.
