Travel analyst OAG has just released its 2018 On-Time Airline and Airport Rankings, listing the airlines and airports with the world’s best timekeeping. Based on full-year data from 57 million flight records in 2017, the British analyst created a rating of one of the best on-time performance of the world’s largest airlines and airports.

By definition, on-time performance (OTP) means flights that arrive or depart inside 14 minutes and 59 seconds of their scheduled times.

The most punctual airline on the planet, with 90.01% of flights on time, is the Latvian flag carrier airBaltic. airBaltic, based at Riga International Airport, offers flights to 68 destinations in Europe, the USA and the Middle East.

The OAG ranked airports all over the world with not less than 2.5 million departures annually. As with airlines, the greater the passenger traffic, the tougher the challenges, so OAG divided the rankings by airport size.
