15 feeder buses will serve passengers of the brand new train at Soekarno-Hatta Airport

Launched on Thursday, a brand new service consisting of 15 feeder buses will serve passengers of the newly launched train to Soekarno-Hatta International Airport.

Buses will depart from Gatot Subroto, Pacific Place and Gambir Station to Sudirman Baru Station in central Jakarta and the fare can be 3,500 rupiah (lower than 50 US cents).

The service is meant to serve the airport train, which is scheduled to run 42 round trips every 60 minutes.

Greater Jakarta Transport Agency (BPTJ) head on the Ministry of Transport Bambang Prihartono said tempo.co that he had expressly requested PT Transjakarta to offer buses to and from Sudirman Baru Station.

Moreover, Jakarta Transport Agency head Andri Yansah said he fully supports the service. “We will ask all airport train feeder buses to go to [state-owned commuter line operator Kereta Commuter Indonesia] station.”

He added that passengers will have the opportunity to board and disembark on the station. “So [the service] can be integrated to make it easier for passengers to transfer with their luggage.”

The routes include Sudirman Baru Station – Gambir Station (Corridor 1), which incorporates Hotel Indonesia – Sarinah – Bank Indonesia – Horse Monument – Gambir Station – Presidential Palace – National Monument (Monas). Also travels to: Bank Indonesia – Sarinah – Hotel Indonesia – Jl. Blora – Sudirman Baru Station.
