At the Business Traveler Awards 2017, Bangkok was named “Best Holiday Destination within the Asia-Pacific” for the second yr in a row, marking the sixth time that the Thai capital has received this prestigious international distinction.
Ms. Sarima Chindamat, director of the Hong Kong office of the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), was present to receive the award from the magazine’s representative, Mr. William Tang Tat Chi, a Hong Kong-born veteran clothier, at a gala dinner ceremony in Hong Kong. Other awards for Thailand included the St Regis Bangkok, which won the award for best business hotel in Bangkok.
According to Ms Sarima, the awards for Best Holiday Destination in Asia-Pacific and Best Business Hotel in Bangkok reflect the exertions and shut collaboration between Thailand’s private and public sectors, in addition to the continuing commitment to providing the best standards of service and product excellence.
