Twitter will construct an engineering center in Singapore, the primary within the Asia-Pacific region

Tech giant Twitter announced today (February 13) that it’s constructing an engineering center in Singapore as a part of its expansion plans within the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region.

The latest center shall be situated at the corporate’s Asia-Pacific headquarters within the CapitaGreen constructing on Shenton Way in Singapore’s Central Business District (CBD).

According to Twitterthe engineering center will help strengthen its engineering capabilities, in addition to improve the supply and reliability of services for Twitter users all over the world.

Twitter has said it desires to support this growth plan hire 65 “technical talents” in Singapore in the subsequent few years. The roles available shall be in product engineering, software engineering, data engineering and data science.

According to Times of the StraitTwitter made the announcement every week after it reported total revenue for last 12 months of $3.46 billion (S$4.80 billion), up 14 percent from the previous 12 months. Its net profit was $1.47 billion.

In announcing the outcomes, the corporate said it expects to extend headcount by 20 percent or more this 12 months, particularly in its engineering, product, design and research departments.
