Lao Airlines is anticipated to launch direct flights between Vientiane’s Wattay International Airport and Tokyo’s Narita International Airport from October 29 Lao News Agency (KPL) reported on Tuesday.
Flights will probably be operated thrice every week – on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.
The latest air route is anticipated to spice up economic development, investment and trade in Laos, in addition to an influx of foreign tourists to the country in the approaching years, the corporate said in its announcement.

According to Vientiane times, Laos Prime Minister Thongloun Sisoulith told his Japanese counterpart, Mr. Shinzo Abe, during a June meeting in Japan that Laos hopes to extend the exchange of individuals and goods by immediately establishing direct flights between Laos and Japan

The airline recently announced that it can restart direct flights from Vientiane’s Wattay International Airport to Singapore’s Changi International Airport from October 29, after suspending flights earlier this yr.
Currently, Lao Airlines has direct flight routes to varied major cities in Cambodia, Thailand, Vietnam, China and the Republic of Korea.
It also plans to open direct flights to destinations in Myanmar, Indonesia and China’s Taiwan and Hong Kong.
The domestic airline currently operates direct flights to 12 international destinations and 6 domestic destinations.
