WeWork opens recent coworking spaces in Singapore and Manila

Office-sharing startup WeWork will open recent locations in Singapore and the Philippines this yr, Reuters reported.

The New York startup will open two recent coworking offices in Singapore and two in Manila. He announced it on Wednesday and Thursday.

According to Times of the Strait, WeWork’s newest facility is positioned at MYP Center on Battery Road, in the guts of the CBD, and is the corporate’s first location in Singapore to incorporate a mini golf area.

The two future offices shall be positioned outside the CBD, at UE Square on Clemenceau Avenue and at NTUC Income Prinsep House on Prinsep Street.

WeWork says its future locations outside the CBD follow the success of its current space at ARC 380 in Jalan Besar, which has shown “strong demand for such precincts.”

In an announcement received by Times of the Strait, WeWork said: “With Singapore being a key transportation hub in Southeast Asia that has achieved optimal performance, the addition of those three recent locations within the (primary) CBD and beyond expands (WeWork’s) portfolio of vibrant, strategically positioned collaboration spaces in Singapore , which supply enterprises and firms an integrated environment combining community, design, culture and technology.

WeWork expanded into Southeast Asia with the acquisition of Singapore-based coworking startup Spacemob, a part of its US$500 million (S$689 million) investment in Southeast Asia and South Korea on the time.

WeWork currently has 25 locations in Southeast Asian markets, including Indonesia, Thailand and Vietnam, including 12 in Singapore.
