TripAdvisor has published the primary results of airline rankings based on passenger reviews. Emirates won the World’s Best Airline award within the inaugural TripAdvisor Travelers’ Choice Airlines Awards.
This is the primary 12 months that TripAdvisor has introduced an airline category as a part of its flagship Travelers’ Choice Awards. The awards are given to the world’s best carriers based on the amount and quality of airline reviews and rankings from world wide collected over a 12-month period.
Singapore Airlines took second place and Brazilian Azul took third place.
“We are honored to be recognized as the world’s best airline in the 2017 TripAdvisor Travelers’ Choice Airlines Awards,” said Tim Clark, CEO of Emirates. “The fact that the awards are the result of unbiased reviews and opinions is our commitment to providing our customers with the highest quality travel experience.”
Emirates is the world’s largest international airline, serving 155 destinations in 83 countries on six continents.
In addition to winning the highest prize, the airline won 4 other awards, including Best Mainline Airline within the Middle East and Africa, Best Economy Class, Best First Class and World’s Best Airline – Top 10.
