This country ranks first amongst diving destinations in 2017.

The hottest diving destination in 2017 is Indonesia. It won by a big margin, receiving 22,552 votes from our readers, with Papua New Guinea coming in second with 6,089 votes and the Philippines third with 3,313 votes.

DIVE readers could select up to a few destinations, and a complete of 47,547 votes were solid by the closing date on December 31. Only one set of votes might be solid from a single IP address, and votes got here from everywhere in the world.

Indonesia has all the time been a transparent favourite to win the title, because of its stunning array of world-class diving. From Raja Ampat to Bali, Komodo to Sulawesi, Indonesia has more world-famous diving resorts than every other country.

The top 10 dive sites chosen by our readers reflect the most effective dive sites available all over the world, from Papua New Guinea to Mexico, the Philippines to the Maldives. Below you will discover the variety of 10 favorite destinations.

Our readers nominated nineteen destinations, and the voting lasted six months. The remaining nine countries on the 2017 ballot, in descending order, are the Galapagos Islands; Malaysia; Malta; Aruba, Curacao and Bonaire; Cuba, Cocos Island, Iceland, Türkiye and French Polynesia.
