Years later, the people of Southeast Asia needs to be pleased with each edition, as we’ve many famous, respected and widely commented on MotoGP, Moto2 and even Moto3 riders who’ve taken a very important place on the international stage.
That’s why, for the most important MotoGP fans, we’ve prepared an inventory of probably the most famous riders from Southeast Asia, in addition to some details about their past and success stories.
RATTHAPARK WILAIROT – THAILAND

Years of activity: 2010-2016
Wilairot, the eldest son of a Thai racing veteran, competes within the Moto2 World Championship, along with his best result being fourth within the 2010 Dutch TT. Wilairot qualified on the front row for the primary time and battled for the lead with eventual race winner Andrea Iannone. Title contenders Toni Elías and Thomas Lüthi later relegated Wilairot to only off the rostrum.
On July 31, 2013, Wilairot took a leave of absence from racing to develop into the coach of his successor on the Thai Honda PTT Gresini Moto2 team, Thitipong Warokorn.
On December 27, 2013, Wilairot announced the top of his leave and the signing of a contract with PTR for the 2014 Supersport World Championship season.
NAKARIN ATIRAPHUVAPAT – THAILAND

According to Thai every day The Nation, Nakarin was the third Thai to race in the highest flight of international motorcycle racing, along with his name among the many candidates for the Moto 3 division within the 2017 MotoGP World Championship.
Qualifying for the world’s premier motorcycle road racing championship is the culmination of a meteoric profession that began along with his debut within the Thailand Road Racing Championship in 2012.
DECHA KRAISART – THAILAND

DONI TATA PRADITA – INDONESIA

The Indonesian motorcyclist raced for Yamaha Pertamina Indonesia within the 250cc Grand Prix World Championship in 2008. Doni is the primary Indonesian motorcyclist to ever compete in a 250cc Grand Prix World Championship.
DIMA SEKKY PRATAMA – INDONESIA

Dimas made his international Moto2 race debut in Sepang, Malaysia in October 2017.
The 25-year-old rider from Depok finished sixth within the Spanish CEV Moto2 Championship after ending on the rostrum only once in 2017.
MARIO SURYO AJI – INDONESIA

This Astra Honda rookie is alleged to be a future driver in Indonesia. He is just 13 years old.
SHAHROL YUZY AHMAD ZAINI – MALAYSIA

Years of activity: 1996 – 2002
Shahrol Yuzy Ahmad Zaini is a Malaysian motorcycle Grand Prix racer. After retiring from motorcycle racing at the top of 2002, he served as a full-time mentor for Team Petronas Sprinta Racing within the Malaysian Cub Prix from 2003 to 2007, before moving to Team Modenas Yuzy Pachi in 2008.
He is the primary Malaysian cyclist to race internationally.
HAFIZH SYAHRIN ABDULLAH – MALAYSIA

He began his profession on the age of 9 riding pocket bikes and earned the nickname “King of the Pocket Bikes” when he was unintentionally discovered by team manager Barry Leong.
Just one week before the 2018 MotoGP Sepang pre-season test, Jonas Folger made a surprising announcement, stating that he can be resting the whole 2018 season while he recovers from the health issues he has experienced. Subsequently, Monster Yamaha Tech 3 team principal Herve Poncharal spoke with SIC CEO Dato Razlan and their primary sponsor Yamaha Asia about the potential for replacing Folger with Hafizh Syahrin.
The Monster Yamaha Tech 3 team was impressed along with his potential and signed Syahrin to exchange Jonas Folger for the 2018 season.
KHAIRUL IDHAM PAWI – MALAYSIA

He made his Grand Prix debut at Aragon, starting as a wild card for Honda Team Asia, driving a Honda. He finished the race in twenty fifth place.
The official MotoGP website has announced the entry list for 2017. Pawi has been announced as Takaaki Nakagami’s recent teammate at Idemitsu Honda Team Asia, replacing Ratthapark Wilairot within the Moto2 category.
2017 was his second 12 months competing in Grand Prix motorcycle races, and he broke the record for the youngest non-European Grand Prix motorcycle race winner.
Khairul Idham, also often known as KIP, finished twenty third within the 2018 Qatar MotoGP this morning (March 19).
ZULFAHMI KHAIRUDDIN – MALAYSIA

Years of activity: 2009 – 2011
Khairuddin made his 125cc World Championship debut on the 2009 Malaysian Grand Prix, where he finished twentieth. In 2010, Khairuddin competed in his first full season aboard Aprilia on the Air Asia-Sepang International Circuit.
He eventually achieved a podium finish in a Moto3 race, taking second place on the 2012 Portuguese Grand Prix, and likewise claimed the primary pole position for a Malaysian rider in any class at his home race in October 2012.
In his debut on the 2018 Qatar MotoGP this morning (March 19), Pawi finished twenty eighth.
ADAM NORRODIN – MALAYSIA

Adam Norrodin, born June 13, 1998, is a Malaysian Grand Prix motorcycle racer. Adam was also a CEV Moto3 Championship rider in 2015.
