Indonesian Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati has been named the World’s Best Minister.
The minister, who’s in command of the budget of Southeast Asia’s largest economy, received the award from United Arab Emirates Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum throughout the sixth annual Summit of World Governments in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, on Sunday.

Sri Mulyani has been finance minister since 2016 under President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo and was previously managing director of the World Bank. She previously served as finance minister from 2005 to 2010 and is credited with steering Indonesia through the worldwide financial crisis.
