The third goal is for them to be functional, sustainable and efficient, he noted, adding that the brand new terminal will likely be energy-efficient, in keeping with the concept of a tropical house that uses natural air for ventilation.

The Osing persons are descendants of the people of the traditional Blambangan Kingdom, whose rulers remained Hindu until they were forced to convert to Islam by the Dutch East India Company (VOC) in 1770. Their population of about 400,000 is concentrated within the province of East Java within the Banyuwangi regency. The Osing speak the Osing dialect, which shows influences from each Javanese and Balinese.
