Anggun, the most well-liked Indonesian diva on the planet, has performed on the annual “Concerto di Natale” or Christmas concert on the Vatican several times, most recently in 2016.
“I sang for 3 different popes (John Paul II, Benedict XVI, Francis), so those moments were unforgettable for me,” said the “Snow on the Sahara” singer. Questioning in a recent interview during a shopping center tour promoting her latest album “8.”, the eighth album she has released in English and/or French within the last 20 years.
“I used to be capable of shake hands with Pope John Paul II. I also met with Pope Benedict XVI. I actually have not met Pope Francis yet.”
She added: “My father thinks religion and faith are necessary. But you do not at all times should consider in a single thing, do you? If you desire to select one, good for you; in case you don’t, that is tremendous too. Your faith doesn’t determine whether you are person or not — your behavior does.”
Anggun is currently reprising her role as a judge on the second season of “Asia’s Got Talent”. She was also a judge on the tv series “X Factor Indonesia” (2013) and “Indonesia’s Got Talent” (2014). The former made her the very best paid judge within the history of Indonesian television.
