From July 1, 2024, Cambodia will implement a brand new immigration system that may require all travelers to use for a CeA electronic arrival card or “Cambodia e-Arrival” a minimum of seven days before entering the country. The system replaces traditional paper immigration forms, health forms, and customs declarations, simplifying the method and providing a more convenient begin to travelers’ journeys.
Although Cambodia’s latest e-immigration system simplifies the entry process, a visa continues to be required to enter the country. You can apply for a visa online or upon arrival.
Please note that this procedure currently only applies to travellers arriving by air at Phnom Penh and Siem Reap airports. Visitors arriving in Cambodia by land, boat or Sihanoukville airport must proceed to make use of paper forms.
Cambodia’s latest e-immigration system, which replaces traditional paper methods, could be accessed via the e-immigration app or the official website (arrival.gov.kh). Here’s the method:
Registration:
1. Create an account on the e-immigration application or official website (arrival.gov.kh).
2. Take a photograph and send your passport details.
E-Arrival Card:
1. Download your e-arrival card without spending a dime from the official website (as much as 7 days before arrival) or via the Cambodia e-Arrival app (available on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store).
2. Save the generated QR code for verification purposes.
3. Upon arrival, show the QR code (printed or electronic) to immigration officials.
If you miss the web application deadline, don’t be concerned! You can still complete the e-Arrival process on tablets available at Siem Reap and Phnom Penh airports.
To speed up the arrival process, travelers can order an electronic visa on arrival (e-VOA) for $30 through the app or use the Fast Track Visa service. While the Fast Track Visa service is on the market, the e-immigration process still must be accomplished with the assistance of immigration officers on the airport using tablets provided.
