West Java club Persib Bandung announced on Tuesday (14/03) that they’ve signed former Chelsea and Real Madrid star Michael Essien on a one-year contract.
Persib, who in line with gossip intends to conduct an initial public offering, announced on its Twitter and Instagram accounts that it has acquired the previous Ghanaian footballer.

The 34-year-old defensive midfielder left Greek club Panathinaikos in 2015, for whom he scored only one goal in 13 appearances.
Before Persiba’s offer, the player was reportedly in talks with three Swedish clubs.
During the height of his Chelsea profession he won nine trophies, including two Premier League titles and one UEFA Champions League title.
