Thailand’s attitude on Russia and the potential Western pressure
Among the growing pressure from the USA and its allies, Thailand seems to preserve close relationships with Russia. In 2023, the then Minister of Thailand openly emphasized the importance of economic cooperation with Moscow, emphasizing that industrial relations between the 2 countries remained strong despite various Western restrictions.
The current administration seems to proceed this approach, showing no signs of a change in a neutral attitude regarding the conflict of Russia-Ukraina.
