Adam Malik is an Indonesian politician and former journalist. He was born in Pematsangsiantar, North Sumatra, July 22, 1917.

Adam Malik was born on July 22, 1917 in Pematsangsiantar, northern Sumatra. He was the third of ten children born by Abdul Malik Coal and Salamah Lubis. His father, Abdul Malik, was generally known as a wealthy trader in Pematsangsiantar.
