Extending the ASEAN range through the partnership of the Philippines-lithuania

The Philippines and Lithuania signed on Monday (June 30, 2025) by an interregional strategic partnership agreement, signaling a brand new chapter of international cooperation specializing in trust -based cooperation.

Agreement – recorded by the Filipino defense secretary Gilberto Teodoro Jr. and the Lithuanian parliamentary dovile Šakalienė – so as to strengthen defense cooperation, especially in the sphere of cyber security, defense industry and regional stability.

This initiative reflects the broader efforts of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. to proceed modern diploma and expand the strategic partnerships of Southeast Asia with Western partners.

Why the Philippines construct interregional partnerships
